What this covers
This page explains, in plain terms, what information the studio collects, why, and how we treat the work we produce for you. It sits alongside the terms referenced in your project agreement.

What we collect
When you get in touch or start a brief, we collect what you send us — your name, contact details, and the project information you share. If you use a client gallery or portal, we keep the records needed to give you access and deliver your work. We do not seek out information we do not need.

How we use it
We use your information to respond to enquiries, plan and produce your project, deliver files and galleries, and handle billing. We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.

Your client media
Client files, galleries, and assets are governed by the delivery and licensing terms in your agreement. We handle them in service of producing and delivering your project. Client media is not used to train any model unless explicitly agreed in writing.

Who else is involved
Running a studio means working with a small number of service providers — for example, hosting, payment processing, and email. We share only what those providers need to do their job, and we choose them with care. We do not hand your work to anyone for their own purposes.

How we hold it
We take reasonable, practical steps to protect the information and work in our care, and we keep access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.

How long we keep it
We keep project records and finished work for as long as needed to support you and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Raw files and working assets are retained or retired in line with your agreement. You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or remove it, subject to those obligations.

Cookies and site storage
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. It does use your browser's sessionStorage — cleared when you close the tab — for two things. First, lead attribution: when you submit an enquiry we record how you arrived, namely the five standard campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) if they are in the link you followed, the referring page your browser reports, the page you first landed on, the page you submitted from, and the timestamps of both. Values are stripped to a safe character set and truncated before they are stored. Second, client galleries: the signed access token from your gallery link is held in sessionStorage so it survives navigation, and it is removed from the visible address bar. No cookies are set for either purpose, and no raw IP address is stored with the enquiry. The full detail is on the cookies page.

Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop or limit a particular use, and withdraw a consent you gave earlier. We will not treat you differently for asking. The studio is a North Carolina company and most of the people who contact us are in the United States. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA sets those rights out in law, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them; several other states now give residents comparable rights, and we apply the same practice to everyone rather than sorting people by state. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the same requests are the rights set out in the UK/EU General Data Protection Regulation, and you may also complain to your national supervisory authority. To exercise any of this, contact us at the address above. We will respond as quickly as we can and within the time the law that applies to you allows.

If something goes wrong
If a security incident affects your personal information, we will tell you. In the United States, every state has a breach-notification law, and they generally require notice to affected residents without unreasonable delay once a breach is confirmed; several — North Carolina, where the studio is registered, among them — also require notice to the state Attorney General, and some set a fixed outer deadline. Which rules apply depends on where you live rather than where we are, so we work to the requirements that cover you. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, GDPR requires a report to the supervisory authority without undue delay and within 72 hours of becoming aware, and notice to you without undue delay where the risk to you is high. Where no law sets a deadline, we will still tell you promptly and plainly rather than wait to be obliged to. What we will not do is decide on your behalf that an incident was not worth mentioning.

Governing law and changes to this page
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Nothing here removes a right you have under the law where you live. We may update this page as the studio changes; the effective date below tells you which version is current, and material changes are reflected in a new effective date rather than a silent edit.
